Cotton is a monochromatic magazine pushing boundaries, built from a black feminist perspective for an audience that wants to do more. The magazine market is filled with content that is reflective of social hierarchy - prioritizing ideas that have their origin in white cisheteropatriarchy.  While Black magazines and feminist magazines do exist, a Black feminist magazine has yet to be created. Cotton closes that gap in the market by exploring the intersectionality between Black and feminist issues, as well as politics and current events.
